Jacobson, Esq. is a member of Jared Jacobson Law, LLC, who has extensive experience advising individuals, entrepreneurs and small and large business entities of various types in a variety of labor & employment law, corporate & business law, sports & entertainment law and real estate legal matters. Jared has worked with clients in a variety of industries including healthcare, real estate, hospitality, banking, sports & entertainment, public relations, marketing, advertising, food distribution and manufacturing and retail. Much of the work Jared handles includes preparation, negotiation and review of employment agreements and severance packages (with a particular focus on the healthcare industry including physicians, hospitals and private practices), consulting agreements, independent contractor agreements, operating/partnership agreements & opportunities, confidentiality, restrictive covenant & non-disclosure (NDA) agreements, talent and management agreements, endorsement contracts, waivers, various types of releases, loan and security agreements and promissory notes, retail and commercial leases and real estate sales contracts and purchase/sales agreements including stock purchase and asset purchase agreements.
Supplementing his transactional background, Jared has experience in employment litigation and general civil litigation matters as well as working with administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the United States Department of Labor (DOL), the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC) and the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights (DCR).
Prior to founding JJ Law, Jared worked at various firms in New York including Sidley Austin LLP and Moses & Singer LLP in their Corporate, Securities and Mergers and Acquisitions Departments, as well as with Wyndham Worldwide Corporation and Feed Your Soul, LLC.
Jared is a member of the Board of Trustees for The Communities of Faith for Housing Inc. in Hoboken, New Jersey as well as a member of the Board of Advisors for the St. John's Center for Labor and Employment Law in Queens, New York. Jared is a trained New Jersey Assocation of Professional Mediators (NJAPM) Mediator, has been included on the roster as a R. 1:40 Qualified New Jersey State Court Approved Mediator, regularly sits as a certified Arbitrator at the Philadelphia Arbitration Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is a Certified Arbitrator for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
